Received the Windows Live Butterfly 2008’s participation status change notification email this morning which means I was accept to this new butterfly program. I received the invitation of WLB 2008 program from Microsoft Connect couple of days ago, I just don’t think that they can still take me, becos I broke the NDA(None Disclosure Agreement) when I was participating in the beta testing of Windows Live Messenger 9. I forwarded a post which included the download link here, so I thought I was eliminated from their list, but SURPRISE!

Here I don’t wanna to deny anything, but I have to say before the “incident” happened, I had no idea about NDA, cos when we sign up online services, we just skip the agreement part, so for this, I feel sorry about the breach of the agreement, I really do! Meanwhile, I’d like to thank Windows Live team to give me another opportunity. I promise I won’t fail you again!

New year has gone far away, instead of going back school, I’m staying at home right now, learning English in EnglishTown, preparing for my accounting practitioner exam. The exam is only one month to go, and I just picked up the reference book several days ago.

The lucky part is as my major is financial management which is accounting related, I am qualified for exempting from foundation exam, and I only need to take the accounting professional ethics test which is quite easy I think.

Has been studying in EnglishTown for couple of months, but sometimes I just a little baffled about the effort, I mean I don’t see BIG progress in this two months, I know it’s step-by-step thing and I’m not denying EnglishTown or anything, just I want it to be something, you know..like bomb. And also lately I encountered some technical problems when studying there which I didn’t see anything they’ve done to settle it down yet, even though their customer service department replied me that they’ve looked into this problem already, and the situation will be improved soon. I just wait and see..

Today, I started to sit while playing computer because I used to lay on my stomach while doing this, and now I want to work on my body and make sure that a fully recovery of my back will be archived, meanwhile, make it strong to support the weight of my body with ease! wish me luck then…

Hotpot tonight, 魷魚 feet the bill..

Had some soda tonight which totally turns my stomach over! However, I started taking pills yesterday to stop the stomachache, but eating out makes these pills completely lose its power. I bet I need to stay back home for couple of weeks to make sure everything goes fine with my stomach!

Taking about the movie I watched last night, Ng Jing told me that Yin thought the movie was just so so, she even didn’t catch the drift of the movie, but it’s fine…you know,sometimes it’s just hard to please all! To me, the atmosphere was great, can you imagine a life full of regrets? Everybody may do wrong things in their life, and what you gonna do if you hurt someone?

Do you really believe in “Atonement” thing? It’s like you stab someone with a knife, yes, of course the wound would be healed, but there is still a scar THERE forever! Some people say time heals all wounds, or it will dilute all at least, but for these emotional hurts, do you really think it’s that easy to get over? I would say NO! Someone sinks when confronting these pains, what they do is to live with animosity and try to revenge to these people who hurt them, and get themselves into a vicious circle and never gonna get out of it if they don’t drop the animosity

Went to theater tonight with Yin, Echo, Wong, 冬瓜, 魷魚 to watch the movie Atonement which got many positive reviews. My treat

The movie was talking about a girl named Briony Tallis mistook her sister(Cecilia Tallis)’s lover Robbie Turner as a rapist who was arrested and sent to jail because of the crime when she was a teenage child which totally changed the life of her sister and her sister’s lover. When the time she found the truth, that was waaaaaaay too late, cos both Robbie and her sister Cecilia were dead in the Second World War, and left the girl living in regrets and seeking for forgiveness for her childhood misdeed.

The plot is quite good, but the shooting style is not that good compares to the story which may keep most of spectators being baffled till the last second. So I would say many people will leave the threat in the midway which was what 冬瓜 and 魷魚 exactly did tonight. But to me, it’s not that dull, compares to Pirates of the Caribbean III at least. But I do spent about 1 hour to get used to the British accent.

Anyway, the movie is good, and may give people many thoughts when stepping out of the theater, and it’s worth to pay for the ticket!

Just watched the news conference held in HK as Edison’s 1st public appearance after scandal, he apologized to all people involved in this incident and the whole HK society, and he decided to step away from HK entertainment industry.

I don’t want to comment on this scandal incident here, but I just feel sorry to Edison. In this whole incident, he, himself also is a victim, but because the photos were leaked from his computer, and maybe also because he is a MAN, people put all the guns towards him, and blame on him…Or maybe people just incline to protect weaker members in our community.

But I was thinking what if he is not a public figure? I think people would even not give a shit among this! In fact, as what he said in the news conference, these photos are his privacy, and it was illegal to steal them from his computer and disseminated them over the internet! It’s brave for him to take the responsibility, but weren’t the other people responsible for this too? Remember that it takes two to make a quarrel (In this incident, definitely more than two ). Seems that the female artists were forgiven by publics at the first place, cos people thinks they were victims, wasn’t Edison!?

Here just hope publics can view this scandal more objectively! Anyway, he paid for what he did, so…just cut him some slack!
