Do which motherboard with socket 775 can run successfully on 10.5os??
PS it will be great if the board is cheap enough to buy..Thanks!
[Reply]
Sorry, i'm not quite sure abt it, cos i'm running this new OS on a Mac. But you can try to download the hacked version for PC. Good luck!
[Reply]
Try this link :

I already downloaded this build, it's like Golden Master Version, but not final retail version, even though the build no. is the same. And so far, i found this build is not that stable. haiz...

halo Audi and Racheal,
Yes, it's kinda stuck at 58%, and i guess there will be 2 reasons regarding to this issue.
1. Demonoid.com is offline
2. Weekend
So, maybe can try to wait 1-2 more days to see how it goes.
And also, u can try to download the seed of 7.5G ISO from Pirate Bay.
http://thepiratebay.org/tor/3859875/Mac_OS_X_Leopard_(full_final_release)
(Plz copy the whole link above to your browser if it doesn't work correctly)
[Reply]
You mean the torret from Pirate Bay?
http://thepiratebay.org/tor/3859875/Mac_OS_X_Leopard_(full_final_release)
I also see some 6.6 GB torrent. Are those working fine?
Thanks!! ![]()
[Reply]
yep. in fact, the 6.6G one and the 7.5G one are the same, only in different formats.
currently, i'm running 6.6G one on my Mac, so far no problems. but i heard some people having problems installing built-in camera driver on iMac using this copy. maybe u just take a shot.
Good Luck.
[Reply]
Thanks, Dennis. I've completed the 7.5G download.
Should I burn it into a DVDDL or install from a Ext harddisk with Firewire?
The 6.6G is also completed, which one you recommend me to install??
![]()
[Reply]
Halo Racheal, maybe it depends on how you install the OS.
If you want to burn the image to a DVD-DL in Tiger, or you want to install from a ext harddisk, then i'll recommend you using the 6.6G DMG one.
otherwise, I think it's better using the 7.5G ISO one.
PS: I think it's better to burn it to a DVD-DL, cos it's easier to keep the DVD disc~
But u'd better save a copy in your harddisk, just in case.
Good Luck

請問這個東西直接燒成光碟就給可以給我的小白安裝了嗎?
[Reply]
只要你的Mac符合以下要求即可。
CPU:Mac computer with an Intel, PowerPC G5, or PowerPC G4 (867MHz or faster) processor
RAM:512MB of memory
DVD:DVD drive for installation
Hard Disk:9GB of available disk space

it is 7.5gb
but my memory just have 512mb
i am using macbook 10.4.11 ver.
how to increase the memory

[Reply]
I'd suggest u to bring your macbook to Apple store or Apple authorized reseller for the upgrade.
[Reply]
loveness, you can burn the image to a DL DVD, or restore the image to your disk and then boot your Mac with the disk..Good luck.
[Reply]
Hi alice, in fact I don't know what I really can do to help, but seems loveness had no problems with downloading, so..maybe u can try to wait for a little bit while to see how is it going..
But still I'll courage you to purchase a legal copy..Good luck

hi dennis,
how do i save a extracted version of installer? here is what i did, i extracted the 6.6gb version and when i tried to copy it to my external harddisk it says some components are protected and can't be copied... would it be the same if i try to burn the extracted file into a dvd? thanks!
[Reply]
Hi aall,
sorry, i dun quite catch you, what do you mean by "extracted version of installer", It's a DMG file and u dun even need to extract it..just burn the image into a DL DVD will do.
[Reply]
just burn the image? i tried to install but after a restart the mounted image disappeared and won't install...
[Reply]
you should burn the image to a DL DVD, or restore the image to your disk and then boot your Mac with the disk (press option while starting your Mac)
To burn the image to a DL DVD, you may need to use the built-in app Disk Utility
[Reply]
ok, burn the image (dmg) to a dvd and start up holding the option key, right? the dmg should extract and install? is that it? cheers!
[Reply]
hi dennis, i still can't get it to work.
when i hold the option key at startup, my computer only recognize the startup disk, no dvd. i even copied the dmg into my external firewire drive and still won't recognize the installer... how do you all do it? this is so frustrating... ![]()
[Reply]
Hi aall, not copy the image file!
* Burn the image to a DVD.
- Run Disk Utility.app
- Click "Burn" icon in the toolbar
- Select the image file you downloaded
- Wait..
or..Store the image to your potable disk
- Run Disk Utility.app
- Select the disk/volume you want to use
- Select "Restore" option, and then click "image" to select the image file you downloaded
- Click "restore"
Then reboot your Mac with option key pressed
[Reply]
hi dennis,
in disk utility.app the restore button is dimmed... won't let me choose a destination volume.

Hi Dennis,
I have a intel based imac G5, how can i burn the image to DVD-DL? Does the combo DVD drive support to do so and how? Also, i have restored the 7.5G leopard OSX ver on my USB harddisk, does imac support to boot up through USB harddisk and how? As I tried to press the option key while boot up, but i can't find my USB disk for selection.
Thanks a lot, kamying
[Reply]
Hi Kamying,
1. combo DVD driver doesn't support DVD burning.
2. USB harddisk is not supported, Firewire ONLY
[Reply]
Hi Dennis,
Thanks a lot, that's mean i need to restore the image to my imac harddisk, right? Did i need to partition my harddisk in order to do that? As I am still thinking how to install the leopard to my imac.
Thanks
Kamying
[Reply]
hope you still check this post
this is not really relevant to the torrent u post
i downloaded a 10.5.2.dmg (6.6GB)in somewhere else
and i restore it in another partition of my iBook
it says "Mac OSX cannot be installed in this computer"
tried a lot of searching on google ~~ didnt understand
can you please help me out ?
[Reply]
Please make sure your iBook meets the minimum requirements.
CPU:Mac computer with an Intel, PowerPC G5, or PowerPC G4 (867MHz or faster) processor
RAM:512MB of memory
Hard Disk:9GB of available disk space
[Reply]
First I downloaded the dmg file of OSX 10.5,
because I have 2 partitions in my computer, I restore the partition with no OSX by using the image of the dmg file, so I can use it as a booting device.
Instead of using the partition with OSX, I use the boot disc (The partition I restored with the image) to boot up the computer.
It went into the installer, it ask me to choose the language, after pressing it, it loaded for awhile, then the message "Mac OS X cannot be installed in this computer".
[Reply]
Two possibilities here:
1. firmware, try to upgrade it to the latest via Software Update, and then try to install Leopard
2. your Installation disc, re-download it or download another version.
Good Luck
[Reply]
Thank you for your help ~~
I searched b4, it seems that there is no update needed for iBook G4
anyway, I have already started downloading another CD, thats the problem i think..
Thx~
[Reply]
One more thing to add ~~ hope doesnt bother u too much
a OSX 10.5.4 was once installed to this computer b4
for some reasons, i uninstalled it, but I dont hv that disc now, it was from someone else.
So I hv to download it myself
would that affect?
[Reply]
What do you mean of "uninstalled it"?
and be careful about the version you download, if it's a "upgrade disc image", then it'll check your current system (10.4.X or above required) before the installation take place.
[Reply]
basically i formatted the harddisk
i m not sure how to determine it is upgrade disc of not ~~
but it says "install MAC OSX and bundle software" below the first icon ~~
[Reply]
so it shoudnt be a upgrade disc. It says installation disc when i mount it.
Recently, one of my fd said using a partition or an external hard disc wont work, and i must burn it into a dual-layer DVD.
Is that true ?
[Reply]
I don't think so, many pple used a partition to install the OS and succeed.
So don't worry about it.
[Reply]
You are totally rite, finally done!
my iBook cant read dual layer =.= ~~ I burnt it out... but cant read =.=
install with partition at last~~
thx for answering my questions for so long ....
